§8 What this document does not claim

  • No legal entity. This project is not incorporated. There is no foundation, association, company, or steering committee behind "VER" or "vera" beyond the individual(s) who hold commit access to this repository — today, one person. This document creates no legal person and confers no legal authority on anyone.
  • No trademark authority. "VER", "VER-F", "CPNP", and the verstandard.org host used in schema $id values (VERSIONING.md §3.1) name this project's own artifacts; none is an asserted or registered trademark, and this document grants, licenses, or polices none of them.
  • No certification program. There is no accredited or authorized "VER-certified" status this project confers on a product, vendor, or producer. A conformance claim is defined entirely by the standard's own documents — the published schema, the errata annex, and a vera-profile/1.0 validation report (ADR-0003) — and by nothing this document adds to them.
